Lynnette Lockwitz
Lynnette Lockwitz is managing partner at Reiter Law Offices, Ltd. and has concentrated in real estate tax law, litigation and transactional work for over 15 years within the State of Illinois. She has vast experience in real estate litigation and transactions representing individuals, corporate entities, municipalities and financial institutions and ranging from borrowers, lenders, buyers, sellers, developers and investors. She has extensive experience in structuring, acquisitions, dispositions, finance and private equity transactions along with real estate securities transaction. Her experience includes litigation involving real estate disputes, real estate transactions and Governmental Property Tax Exemptions. She has been involved with numerous Illinois Appellate court cases involving the Illinois Property Tax Code and breach of contract disputes. She is an appointed section member of the Illinois State Bar Association’s State and Local Taxation committee, a past Chair of both the Real Estate Taxation Committee and Tax Sale Tax Deed Subcommittee of the Chicago Bar Association. She is also an adjunct professor at the University of Illinois, Chicago School of Law. She is a cum laude graduate of Thomas M. Cooley Law School where she was an associate editor of the Thomas M. Cooley Journal of Practical and Clinical Law.
